The Map

Site Map of JAYMS.COM – Six main content lanes (Logos Field Notes, Series, Myth Busters, The Forge, Beyond the Desk, THE INFECTED WORLD) arranged around a central fiery Ophanim wheel in dark archival cinematic style

This is the map of the site. Six places things go, and they don’t all do the same kind of work. Some lanes are deep research. Some are reflection. One is fiction. This page tells you which is which so you know what you walked into.

Logos Field Notes

Deep biblical research. Long-form work on a passage, a figure, or a concept, using the Logos library, original languages, Ancient Near East background, and Second Temple sources. This is where the heavy study lives. Divine Council Inventory, Lesser Gods of the Old Testament, the Ten Plagues, Moses at the Threshold, the Image of God work.

If you want to know what the text actually says in its actual world, this is the lane.

Series

Not a topic — a shelf. Multi-part arcs that belong together get their own home so the parts can be read in order without hunting for them. What Is a King? is the first series. Future book-by-book teaching arcs (Luke, Acts, Romans) will land here too.

Myth Busters

Pop-Christianity audit. The pious fictions, repeated illustrations, and misattributed claims most of us were handed in church that do not survive contact with the actual text or its history. The Needle Gate. The Chosen. Any place where what we have been told and what is actually there have drifted apart.

Not hostile. Just checking the receipts.

The Forge

Stoic-Christian reflection. Shorter pieces on living. Time, attention, restart, the mind, the work of staying rooted while the world pulls. Seneca and Paul end up in the same paragraph here more often than not. Spend Thrifts of Time, Reset, Very Little Is Needed, Don’t Get Lost in Other People’s Minds.

Beyond the Desk

The man writing this is not only a brain. Forty years of reading does not erase the body doing the reading, the gym, the yard, the ordinary work of living in the world instead of only thinking about it. This lane exists so the site does not pretend otherwise.

THE INFECTED WORLD

Canon-fiction. A different register from the rest of the site, on purpose. The voice shifts, the format shifts, the glyphs show up. Three places inside it:

  • The Archive — the fiction itself. Fragments, transmissions, records.
  • Terminological Index — the in-world reference entries.
  • Notes from James — my own commentary on the project. What it is, why it exists, what each piece is doing.

If you have landed in The Archive cold and feel like you walked into the wrong room, start in Notes from James. That is the doorway.

This page exists so I can keep the lanes straight as the site grows, and so anyone landing here knows what kind of writing they just clicked into. If you can’t find something, that is on me, not you. Tell me.
