Jehoshabath, an Israelitess

Who this is

Daughter of King Jehoram of Judah and sister of King Ahaziah, married to the priest Jehoiada. When the queen mother Athaliah moved to kill off the royal family after Ahaziah's death, Jehoshabeath hid the infant Joash and his nurse in a temple storeroom, preserving the Davidic line (2 Chronicles 22:11). She appears as Jehosheba in the parallel account in 2 Kings 11.
