Who this is

Abarim was a mountain range east of the Dead Sea in Moab, overlooking Jericho and the Jordan Valley; Mount Nebo, its best-known peak, was where Moses viewed the promised land before his death (Deuteronomy 32:49-50; 34:1-5). Israel camped in these mountains after crossing the Arnon during the final stage of the wilderness journey (Numbers 33:47-48).
