Who this is

Abda is the name of two Old Testament men. The first was the father of Adoniram, whom Solomon put in charge of the forced labor levy (1 Kings 4:6). The second was a Levite of the family of Jeduthun who lived in Jerusalem after the exile (Nehemiah 11:17); the parallel list in 1 Chronicles 9:16 calls this same man Obadiah.
