Adonikam (Man living at the time of Exile and Return)

The census of returning exiles counts 666 men of his family in Ezra. Nehemiah's copy of the same list says 667, which is the kind of disagreement these two registers have all the way through.

Who this is

Adonikam was the ancestor of a family of 666 men who returned from Babylonian exile to Jerusalem with Zerubbabel, according to the census list in Ezra 2:13; a slightly different number, 660, appears in the parallel list in Nehemiah 7:18. A further group of his descendants came up later under Ezra (Ezra 8:13).
