Who this is

Asenath was an Egyptian woman, daughter of Potiphera, priest of On (Heliopolis), whom Pharaoh gave to Joseph as his wife (Genesis 41:45). She bore Joseph two sons, Manasseh and Ephraim, who became the ancestors of two of Israel's twelve tribes (Genesis 41:50-52; 46:20). Her marriage into an Egyptian priestly family reflects Joseph's full integration into Egyptian court life during his rise to power under Pharaoh.
