Ashdoth-pisgah
The slopes of Pisgah, east of the Jordan, in land taken from Sihon the Amorite. It is likely a description of the ridge rather than a place name, the same ridge Moses looked at the promised land from before he died.

Ashdoth-pisgah, rendered "the slopes of Pisgah" in most modern translations, describes the descending ridges of Mount Pisgah on the eastern side of the Jordan, within territory taken from Sihon the Amorite (Deuteronomy 3:17; Joshua 12:3; 13:20). It is likely not a separate place name at all but a geographic description of Pisgah's terrain, the same ridge from which Moses viewed the promised land before his death (Deuteronomy 34:1). It has been associated with springs near Mount Nebo still known today as Ayun Musa, "the springs of Moses."
