Who this is

Ava, also called Ivah, was a city in Assyria's Mesopotamian heartland from which the Assyrians deported settlers to repopulate Samaria after Israel's exile in 722 BC (2 Kings 17:24). Sennacherib's field commander later cited Ava's conquered gods, alongside those of Hamath and Sepharvaim, to taunt Hezekiah into surrendering Jerusalem (2 Kings 18:34; 19:13). It is commonly identified with Hit, an ancient town on the Euphrates known for its natural bitumen springs.
