Beth-birei was a town of the tribe of Simeon in the far south of Judah's territory, appearing in the genealogical town-list of 1 Chronicles 4:31. The parallel list in Joshua 19:6 gives the same town as Beth-lebaoth, "house of lionesses," suggesting the name simply shifted between the two records. Its site is unidentified.
