Who this is

Two places share this name. The first, near Jerusalem in Judah's territory, was where Judah and Simeon defeated the Canaanite king Adoni-bezek and cut off his thumbs and big toes, the same mutilation he admitted inflicting on seventy captured kings before him (Judges 1:4-7). The second, farther north near the Jordan valley, is where Saul mustered Israel's forces before marching to relieve Jabesh-gilead from an Ammonite siege (1 Sam. 11:8).
