Who this is

Chephirah was one of four Hivite towns, along with Gibeon, Beeroth, and Kiriath-jearim, whose inhabitants tricked Joshua into a treaty of peace by disguising themselves as travelers from a distant country (Joshua 9:3-17). It fell within Benjamin's territory, and its people are later listed among those who returned from Babylonian exile (Ezra 2:25; Nehemiah 7:29). It is identified with Khirbet Kefireh, west of Jerusalem near Ajalon.
