Who this is

A city and harbor at the southwestern tip of the Cnidian peninsula in Caria, Asia Minor, famous in antiquity for its temple of Aphrodite. Paul's ship passed it with difficulty in adverse winds on the voyage to Rome, just before running for shelter at Crete (Acts 27:7). Extensive ruins of the Greek and Roman city, including a theater and harbor works, have been excavated at the site.
