Who this is

A city of Phrygia in Asia Minor, on the Lycus River near Laodicea and Hierapolis, and the destination of Paul's letter to the Colossians. Paul had apparently never visited the city himself; its church was founded through Epaphras, a native of Colossae who carried the gospel there (Col. 1:2, 7; 2:1). Archaeological survey has located the unexcavated mound of the ancient city near modern Honaz, Turkey.
