Who this is
Father of Shimei, one of twelve district officers Solomon appointed to supply provisions for the royal household in rotation, Shimei's district being in Benjamin (1 Kings 4:18). This Elah is distinct from the better known king of Israel by the same name and from the valley of Elah where David fought Goliath, both of which are covered under separate entries in this dataset.
