Who this is

Elath was a port city on the Gulf of Aqaba near Ezion-geber, held under Solomon's control (1 Kings 9:26), lost when Edom revolted, and recovered for Judah under Uzziah before finally falling to Syria (2 Kings 14:22; 16:6). Its site is preserved in the name of the modern Israeli city of Eilat.
