Elealeh
Reuben rebuilt this town on the grazing plateau east of the Jordan for its herds. By Isaiah's and Jeremiah's time Moab had it back, and both name it in their oracles. The ruin el-Al, just northeast of Heshbon, is the site.

Elealeh was a town in the pastoral plateau east of the Jordan that the tribe of Reuben rebuilt for its herds after the conquest (Numbers 32:3, 37). It reappears centuries later in Isaiah's and Jeremiah's oracles against Moab, which had reclaimed the region by their time (Isaiah 15:4; 16:9; Jeremiah 48:34). The site survives as the ruin el-Al, just northeast of Heshbon in modern Jordan.
