The same name traced across the biblical canon and the Second Temple texts, side by side.
Eliam (Man living at the time of United Monarchy)
Bathsheba's father, called Ammiel in Chronicles. A son of Ahithophel with the same name was one of David's thirty. If they are one man, Bathsheba was Ahithophel's granddaughter, and some see that behind his betrayal of David in Absalom's revolt.

Eliam appears in two contexts that may describe the same man: as the father of Bathsheba, David's wife (2 Samuel 11:3, where Chronicles gives his name as Ammiel), and as the son of David's counselor Ahithophel and one of David's elite thirty warriors (2 Samuel 23:34). If the two references are the same person, it would mean Bathsheba was Ahithophel's granddaughter, which some read as a motive behind Ahithophel's bitter betrayal of David during Absalom's revolt (2 Samuel 15-17).
