Epaphroditus (Man living at the time of the New Testament)
The church at Philippi sent him to Rome with money for Paul in prison. He fell badly ill there and nearly died. Once he was well, and homesick, Paul sent him back carrying the letter we call Philippians, with warm words about him in it.

Epaphroditus was a member of the church at Philippi whom the congregation sent to Rome carrying financial support for the imprisoned Paul. He fell seriously ill while there, and Paul, moved by his recovery and homesickness, sent him back to Philippi bearing the letter now known as Philippians, commending him warmly to the church (Philippians 2:25-30; 4:18).
