Who this is

Esau was Isaac and Rebekah's elder twin, born moments before his brother Jacob and covered in reddish hair, and he sold his birthright to Jacob for a bowl of stew after coming in from the field exhausted and hungry, a decision Hebrews later holds up as an example of trading something sacred for immediate gratification. Jacob later stole Esau's father's blessing as well, through deception, and Esau's fury forced Jacob to flee for over a decade, though the two brothers reconciled tearfully when Jacob finally returned. Esau, also called Edom, became the ancestor of the Edomites, a nation whose long hostility toward Israel runs through much of the Old Testament.
