Who this is

Etam is the name of two Judean towns. One was a village of Simeon near a rocky refuge where Samson hid in a cleft of rock after slaughtering a group of Philistines (Judges 15:8, 11); the other, near Bethlehem and Tekoa, was fortified by Rehoboam among his network of defensive cities (2 Chronicles 11:6) and sat near the springs that fed Solomon's pools and gardens.
