Gabbatha
An Aramaic word, raised place, for the paved platform outside Pilate's headquarters where he sat in judgment and sentenced Jesus. John gives the Greek too, lithostroton, a stone pavement. Some put it at a courtyard in the Antonia Fortress, but whether that pavement is old enough is disputed.

Gabbatha, an Aramaic word meaning "raised place" or "ridge," was the paved platform outside Pilate's headquarters in Jerusalem where he set up the judgment seat and sentenced Jesus (John 19:13). John pairs it with the Greek term lithostroton, describing a mosaic or tiled stone pavement; a paved courtyard at the Antonia Fortress has been proposed as the site, though its dating to Jesus's era remains disputed among archaeologists.
