Who this is

Giloh was a town in the hill country of Judah southwest of Hebron (Josh. 15:51), remembered as the home of Ahithophel, David's counselor who defected to Absalom's rebellion (2 Sam. 15:12). When his advice was rejected in favor of Hushai's, Ahithophel returned to Giloh and hanged himself (2 Sam. 17:23).
