Who this is

Goshen was the fertile district in northeastern Egypt, along the eastern Nile delta, where Joseph settled his father Jacob and the rest of his family, and where the Israelites lived and multiplied until the exodus. Its cities Pithom and Rameses lay within its borders, and it is generally identified with the Wadi Tumilat. Two lesser places in Canaan's south also bore the name Goshen.
