Hamonah
A city name in Ezekiel's vision, meaning multitude, set beside the valley where Gog's hordes are buried so that the place itself remembers them. It belongs to the vision, not to any map of his day.

Hamonah is not a person but a symbolic name, meaning "multitude," that Ezekiel assigns to the site in Israel where the defeated hordes of Gog would be buried, so numerous that a whole valley would be renamed for them (Ezekiel 39:11-16). The prophecy pictures the burial taking seven months and the valley being renamed the Valley of Hamon-gog, with a nearby city called Hamonah standing as a permanent marker of the event. Like Hamon-gog, the name functions within Ezekiel's vision of judgment rather than naming an actual place already on the map in his day.
