A border town of the tribe of Zebulun in Galilee (Joshua 19:14). It is widely identified with Tell el-Bedeiwiyeh in the Beth-netofa valley, and a town of the same name, Hinnatuna, appears in the fourteenth-century BC Amarna letters as a garrison town fought over along a key route through Galilee, giving this minor biblical town a genuine extrabiblical attestation centuries before Joshua's conquest narrative.
