Who this is

Helam was a location east of the Jordan where David's army, under Joab, decisively defeated the Aramean forces of Hadadezer, commanded by Shobach, ending Aramean support for the Ammonites in that war (2 Samuel 10:15-18). Its exact site has not been identified, though some have proposed a location near the upper Euphrates.
