The same name traced across the biblical canon and the Second Temple texts, side by side.
Helbah (Helbon)
Ezekiel 27:18 actually says Helbon. Damascus sells Tyre the wine of Helbon and white wool, and Helbon is usually placed at Halbun in the hills northwest of Damascus, whose wine Strabo says the Persian kings imported.

The reference carried here, Ezekiel 27:18, actually names Helbon rather than Helbah: in the prophet's list of Tyre's trading partners, Damascus supplies wine of Helbon along with white wool. Helbon is usually identified with the village of Halbun in the hills northwest of Damascus, a region whose wine, according to the Greek geographer Strabo, was prized enough for the Persian kings to import it. It should not be confused with the Helbah of Asher mentioned in Judges 1:31.
