Two men in the Old Testament carry this name. The first, a Netophathite also called Heleb or Heled, was one of David's thirty mighty men and commanded the army division on duty in the twelfth month (2 Samuel 23:29; 1 Chronicles 27:15). The second was one of a group of exiles who returned from Babylon bringing gold and silver, from which the prophet Zechariah was told to make a crown for Joshua the high priest as a sign of the coming Messianic king-priest (Zechariah 6:10-11).
