Hezion was an early king of Aram-Damascus, father of Tabrimon and grandfather of Ben-hadad I, the Syrian king whom Asa of Judah paid to attack Israel (1 Kings 15:18). He is sometimes identified with Rezon, who established the Damascene kingdom that opposed Solomon (1 Kings 11:23-25), though the connection is not certain.
