Who this is

Hiddekel is the Hebrew name for the Tigris, one of the four rivers described as flowing out of Eden, said to run east of Assyria (Gen. 2:14). It appears again as the setting for Daniel's final vision, where he stood on its bank (Dan. 10:4). The Tigris rises in the mountains of eastern Turkey and flows more than a thousand miles before joining the Euphrates near the Persian Gulf, its banks home to major Mesopotamian cities including Nineveh and Asshur.
