Jarah was a descendant of Saul through Jonathan and Mephibosheth, the son of Micah in the genealogy of 1 Chronicles 9:42. The parallel genealogy in 1 Chronicles 8:36 lists the same figure as Jehoadah, evidence of scribal variation in transmitting Benjamite names.
