Jehoiakim (King living at the time of Divided Monarchy)
Pharaoh Necho put him on Judah's throne. When Jeremiah's scroll was read to him, he cut it off a section at a time and burned it in the fire pot, while his advisors begged him to stop. Jeremiah had it written out again, with more added.

Jehoiakim was installed as king of Judah by the Egyptian pharaoh Necho and later switched allegiance to Babylon under pressure, and he is remembered mainly for his contempt toward the prophet Jeremiah's warnings: when a scroll of Jeremiah's prophecies was read to him, Jehoiakim cut off each section with a knife and burned it in a fire pot as it was read, unmoved even as advisors begged him to stop. Jeremiah had the entire scroll rewritten, with additional judgments added specifically because of what Jehoiakim had done to the first copy.
