Who this is

Jehoshaphat was a king of Judah remembered for his religious reforms, sending officials and Levites throughout the kingdom to teach the law, and for an alliance with the northern kingdom of Israel that repeatedly went badly, including a joint military campaign that nearly got him killed when enemy soldiers mistook him for the wicked king Ahab. His greatest crisis came when Moab, Ammon, and Edom invaded together; rather than fight, Jehoshaphat sent singers ahead of his army to praise God, and the invading coalition turned on itself and destroyed its own forces before Judah ever engaged. Several minor figures elsewhere in the Old Testament also share the name.
