Jeshanah
Abijah of Judah captured this northern town from Jeroboam, with Bethel and Ephron, in a battle Judah won though badly outnumbered. It is generally identified with Burj el-Isaneh, north of Bethel. Nehemiah's Jeshanah gate in Jerusalem is a different thing.

Jeshanah was a town in the northern kingdom of Israel that King Abijah of Judah captured from Jeroboam, along with Bethel and Ephron, during a battle in which Judah's forces won despite being badly outnumbered (2 Chronicles 13:19). It is generally identified with Burj el-Isaneh, north of Bethel. The Jeshanah gate mentioned in Nehemiah's account of Jerusalem's wall (Nehemiah 3:6; 12:39) is a separate, unrelated reference to an old gate in the city itself.
