Joseph

Joseph was Jacob's eleventh son and Rachel's firstborn, sold into Egyptian slavery by his jealous brothers after his father's obvious favoritism and his own tactless dreams made him a target. In Egypt he rose from slave to prison to the second-highest office in the land by correctly interpreting Pharaoh's dreams of coming famine, and when that famine drove his brothers to Egypt for grain, he revealed himself and forgave them, reuniting the family that would become the nation of Israel. His deathbed instructions to carry his bones back to Canaan were kept literally, centuries later, during the exodus.
