Who this is

Kadesh-barnea was an oasis in the wilderness of Zin on the southern border of Canaan where Israel camped for much of the wanderings. It was from here that Moses sent twelve spies into Canaan, and the people's fearful response to their report led God to sentence that generation to die in the wilderness. Kadesh-barnea later marked the southern boundary of the promised land in the tribal allotments.
