Kedemoth, a place in eastern Palestine

Who this is

Kedemoth was a town in the territory of Reuben, assigned to the Merarite Levites, that gave its name to the surrounding wilderness from which Moses sent messengers to Sihon, king of the Amorites, requesting safe passage before Sihon's refusal led to war (Deuteronomy 2:26; Joshua 13:18; 21:37). Its precise site east of the Jordan has not been securely identified.
