Benjamite ancestor of one of the exiles who came back and settled in Jerusalem. He is a different man from the Kolaiah whose son Ahab was a false prophet in Babylon.
Kolaiah was the father of the false prophet Ahab, who along with Zedekiah prophesied lies to the exiles in Babylon and was condemned by Jeremiah; Nebuchadnezzar had both men roasted in the fire as a warning (Jeremiah 29:21-22). A separate Kolaiah was a Benjamite ancestor of one of the returned exiles who resettled Jerusalem (Nehemiah 11:7).
