Machpelah
The cave near Hebron that Abraham bought from Ephron the Hittite, with its field, to bury his family. Abraham, Sarah, Isaac, Rebekah, Jacob and Leah all ended up there. Herod's massive stone enclosure still stands over the traditional site, now a mosque and a synagogue.

Machpelah was the cave near Hebron that Abraham bought from Ephron the Hittite, together with the field around it, as a family burial ground (Genesis 23), later holding the bodies of Abraham, Sarah, Isaac, Rebekah, Jacob, and Leah (Genesis 49:31; 50:13). A massive Herodian-era stone enclosure still stands over the traditional site in Hebron, one of the best-preserved large structures anywhere from Herod's building program, now shared as a mosque and synagogue.
