Martha
Lazarus and Mary's sister, at Bethany. Jesus gently told her off for fussing over the meal while Mary sat and listened. Later, grieving her brother, she said one of the boldest things anyone says in the Gospels, that Jesus was the Christ, the Son of God, just before he raised Lazarus.

Martha was the sister of Mary and Lazarus in Bethany, and she's remembered chiefly for two contrasting moments: being gently corrected by Jesus for being distracted by her many household preparations while her sister simply sat and listened to him, and later making one of the boldest declarations of faith in the Gospels, confessing Jesus as the Christ, the Son of God, even while grieving her brother's death just before Jesus raised him.
