Micah was a prophet from a small town in Judah who condemned the exploitation of the poor by the wealthy and powerful and famously summarized what God actually requires: to act justly, love mercy, and walk humbly with your God. He also names Bethlehem centuries in advance as the birthplace of a future ruler over Israel, a prophecy the Gospel of Matthew directly connects to Jesus's birth.
