Moladah was a town in the Negev originally allotted to Judah and then reassigned to Simeon, whose inheritance lay within Judah's larger territory (Joshua 15:26; 19:2). Its people resettled there after the Babylonian exile, according to the list in Nehemiah 11:26. It is often identified with Tel Malhata, east of Beersheba, a site with excavated Iron Age remains.
