Who this is

Nabal was a wealthy but harsh landowner who rudely refused David's request for provisions after David's men had protected Nabal's shepherds and flocks, and only his wife Abigail's quick intervention with a generous gift stopped David from slaughtering Nabal's entire household in retaliation. Nabal died of what appears to be a stroke ten days after Abigail told him what he'd nearly brought on his family, and David married Abigail soon after.
