Noah (Flood survivor living at the time before the Flood)
God picked him as the one righteous man of his generation and told him to build an ark. His family came through the flood with him, along with pairs of every kind of animal. Afterward God made a covenant with him.

Jesus cites ‘the days of Noah’ twice as the pattern for his own return (Luke 17:26-27), the same Noah whose birth a separate, non-canonical tradition (the Book of Noah fragment preserved inside 1 Enoch) renders as something closer to a portent than an ordinary delivery.
Noah was the only righteous man of his generation, chosen to build an ark and preserve his family and pairs of every kind of animal through a catastrophic flood God sent to judge human wickedness. After the flood, God made a covenant with Noah never to destroy the earth by flood again, sealed with the sign of the rainbow, and Noah's three sons, Shem, Ham, and Japheth, became the ancestors of all the nations listed in Genesis 10.
