He took the Amorite town of Kenath east of the Jordan and renamed it after himself, and the town turns up again as a landmark on Gideon's route.
He took the Amorite town of Kenath east of the Jordan and renamed it after himself, and the town turns up again as a landmark on Gideon's route.
Nobah was the name a Manassite warrior gave to the Amorite town of Kenath after he captured it during Israel's advance east of the Jordan (Num. 32:42). The renamed town reappears as a landmark on the route Gideon took while pursuing the Midianite kings Zebah and Zalmunna (Judg. 8:11), suggesting the new name endured at least into the period of the judges.
