Who this is

Pelaiah's name means “the LORD has distinguished.” One man of this name appears in the royal genealogy as a descendant of David after the exile (1 Chronicles 3:24). A second Pelaiah was a Levite who helped explain the law to the people after Ezra read it publicly in Jerusalem (Nehemiah 8:7) and later signed Nehemiah's covenant (Nehemiah 10:10).
