Who this is

Phenice, more accurately Phoenix, was a harbor on the south coast of Crete that the crew of Paul's ship hoped to reach for safer winter anchorage before a storm drove them off course toward Malta (Acts 27:12). Its exact site is debated between the modern bays of Loutro and Phineka, and it is a separate place from the region of Phoenicia on the Syrian coast, which older English translations render with the same spelling elsewhere in Acts.
