Who this is

Pishon was one of four rivers said to branch from the river watering the garden of Eden, described as encircling the land of Havilah, a region rich in gold, bdellium, and onyx (Genesis 2:11-12). Its location has never been convincingly fixed; proposals over the centuries have ranged from the Nile to rivers in Arabia and India, including a now-vanished paleochannel across northern Arabia detected in satellite radar imagery, but none commands consensus. Genesis pairs it with the Tigris and Euphrates, both real and identifiable rivers, which is part of why the search for the other two continues rather than being dismissed outright.
