Raamah was a son of Cush and, through his sons Sheba and Dedan, the ancestor of Arabian trading peoples (Genesis 10:7; 1 Chronicles 1:9). Ezekiel lists Raamah's merchants among those who supplied Tyre with spices, precious stones, and gold (Ezekiel 27:22). Most scholars connect the name to a city called Ragmatum known from South Arabian inscriptions in the old Sabaean kingdom of Yemen, matching the trading-nation identity the Bible gives it.
