Who this is

Ramoth-gilead was a city of refuge east of the Jordan in Gad's territory, strategically important enough to be repeatedly fought over between Israel and Aram. Ahab died there after being wounded while trying to retake it with Jehoshaphat's help, and it was there, years later, that Jehu was anointed king by one of Elisha's disciples while the army was stationed on the frontier. Its exact site is disputed among several candidates on the northern Gilead plateau.
